MS is affecting more and more young people, yet there is too little accessible information to help them understand the condition. During MS Awareness Week, we helped the MS Trust launch MSTV, its new YouTube channel for young people, to give them the knowledge, skills and confidence to take on MS today. We booked the charity's spokesperson into a day of radio and TV interviews, talking about how confused, scared and powerless young people with MS often feel, and raising funds for the charity. The broadcast PR campaign secured 32 items of radio and TV coverage reaching 15.8 million people, including Sky News TV, ITV Yorkshire, BBC East Midlands Today and Sky News Radio.
MS Trust wanted to raise awareness of the challenges facing young people with MS, promote MSTV and raise funds.

MS Awareness Week is run in the UK by the MS Society together with the MS Trust, MS-UK, Shift.ms and other MS charities. It aims to improve understanding of multiple sclerosis and to challenge assumptions about living with it. It usually takes place in late April. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
