Snoring keeps couples apart: the Gift of Sleep Survey found 81% of people say they or their partner snore at least once a week, and 28% of couples sleep in separate rooms because of it. Only 26% have sought professional help, so at Christmas we built eXciteOSA's broadcast PR campaign around getting snorers to treat the root cause. A consultant ear, nose and throat surgeon with more than 25 years' NHS experience went on air across a day of radio and TV interviews, explaining how targeting a lack of tongue muscle endurance during sleep can mean better sleep, better health and better relationships. The campaign secured 22 items of radio and TV coverage reaching 3.8 million people, including GB News and Sky News Radio.
eXciteOSA wanted to encourage snorers and people with sleep apnoea to seek help and treat the root cause rather than just the symptoms.

Christmas Day falls on 25 December and marks the Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus. It is a bank holiday across the UK and the peak of the year for retail, food and family stories. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
