Case study · Summer

Everypaw

When temperatures soar, dogs and cats cannot cool themselves the way we can, leaving them at risk of heatstroke, dehydration and burns from hot pavements. For Everypaw's summer broadcast PR campaign, we put a veterinary surgeon from Everypaw Pet Insurance on air across a radio day of interviews with five simple tips: water and shade, walking pets early or late, never leaving them in a car, knowing the signs of heatstroke and grooming. The campaign secured 14 items of radio coverage reaching 2.4 million listeners, from BBC Radio Sussex and Surrey and BBC Radio Essex to BBC Radio Norfolk and Heart Four Counties.

About Summer

Summer is a major broadcast moment built around the school summer holidays, days out, travel, hot weather and outdoor living. In England and Wales schools usually break up in late July, while in Scotland and Northern Ireland they break up in late June. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
