Not everyone enjoys Bonfire Night: the RSPCA estimates 67% of animals in the UK show signs of distress when fireworks go off. For Everypaw, we built a broadcast PR campaign to help pet owners keep their animals safe and calm, and put a leading vet on air across a radio day of interviews. The vet shared practical tips, from keeping cats and dogs indoors and preparing a safe den to closing the curtains, checking microchip details are up to date and choosing noiseless fireworks. The campaign secured 18 items of radio coverage reaching 2.5 million, including BBC Radio Essex, BBC Radio Norfolk, BBC Radio Nottingham and BBC Radio Stoke.

Everypaw has come back to Relations Group for other broadcast PR campaigns:
Bonfire Night, or Guy Fawkes Night, is held on 5 November and marks the failure of the Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when conspirators tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament. It is celebrated across Britain with bonfires and fireworks displays. Stations plan their coverage of it in advance, which makes it a strong hook for a broadcast PR campaign.
