Case study · World Health Week

Vegetarian and Vegan Foundation

2.8 million people in the UK have been diagnosed with diabetes, and a 21-year study of over 25,000 adults found vegetarians and vegans had a 45% lower risk of the condition. For World Health Week, we helped the Vegetarian and Vegan Foundation launch its 'D-Diet', promoted as a way to reverse type 2 diabetes, and raise awareness of the charity's work explaining the links between diet and health. The charity's founder, a nutritional therapist, went on air across a radio day of interviews. The broadcast PR campaign secured 17 items of radio coverage reaching 850,000, including BBC Radio Gloucestershire.

About World Health Week

World Health Week is a week created by Relations Group for UK health, wellbeing and medical brands to share advice on radio, from nutrition and sleep to fertility and dental care. It is separate from the World Health Organization's World Health Day on 7 April. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
