Britain is a giving nation at Christmas, and research found we take the details seriously: 47% make a big event of wrapping presents, 53% love receiving posted Christmas cards (against 1% for e-cards), and 59% display their cards throughout the season. At Christmas, we turned those findings into a story for Sainsbury's about the personal touch, putting a former television presenter, mum and grandmother on air across a radio day of interviews with tips on adding a personal touch to presents. The broadcast PR campaign secured 15 items of radio coverage reaching 788,000 listeners, including BBC Radio Shropshire and BBC Radio Hereford and Worcester.

More campaigns for Sainsbury's
Sainsbury's has come back to Relations Group for other broadcast PR campaigns:
Christmas Day falls on 25 December and marks the Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus. It is a bank holiday across the UK and the peak of the year for retail, food and family stories. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
