Case study · New Year

PANDA London

Better sleep tops Britain's list of New Year's resolutions, so we built PANDA London's broadcast PR campaign around it. We turned new research into a story stations wanted to cover: 37% of Brits named better sleep as their number one resolution, yet a third give up on their resolutions within weeks. We then put a consultant counselling psychologist on air across a radio day of interviews, giving listeners practical ways to make new sleep habits stick, with PANDA's bamboo bedding as part of the answer. The campaign secured 25 radio interviews reaching 4.6 million people, from BBC Radio London and Greatest Hits Radio to a run of BBC local stations from Stoke to Lincolnshire.

About New Year

New Year's Day on 1 January marks the start of the calendar year and is a bank holiday across the UK. The days around it bring stories about resolutions, health goals and fresh starts, and the celebrations on New Year's Eve. Stations plan their coverage of it in advance, which makes it a strong hook for a broadcast PR campaign.
