Case study · Summer

HyperJar

Children's spending habits form by the age of seven, yet formal teaching about money only starts at secondary school, and more than half of UK children do not understand money. Over the summer holidays, we helped HyperJar turn that gap into a story, with just 13% of adults recalling open money chats growing up. We put HyperJar's founder, a parent, on air alongside his teenage daughter who uses the app, across a day of radio and TV interviews, encouraging parents to step in and showing how the free kids' money app and prepaid card help children keep control of their pocket money. The broadcast PR campaign secured 9 items of radio and TV coverage reaching 1.8 million people, including GB News.

About Summer

Summer is a major broadcast moment built around the school summer holidays, days out, travel, hot weather and outdoor living. In England and Wales schools usually break up in late July, while in Scotland and Northern Ireland they break up in late June. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
