Case study · World Health Week

Dental Complaints Service

Complaints about private dental care were up 17% in the year to April, the Dental Complaints Service revealed, with over 1,800 cases handled and two thirds resolved in under a week. Around World Health Week, we built a broadcast PR campaign to tell patients where to turn: talk to your dental professional first, then to a free service that is independent of the NHS and Government. We put the chair of the service's advisory board on air across a radio day of interviews. The campaign secured 19 items of radio coverage reaching 10.0 million listeners, including BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Radio Ulster.

About World Health Week

World Health Week is a week created by Relations Group for UK health, wellbeing and medical brands to share advice on radio, from nutrition and sleep to fertility and dental care. It is separate from the World Health Organization's World Health Day on 7 April. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
