Results Day is meant to open doors, yet as young people got their results, 1.01 million 16 to 24 year olds were not in education, employment or training. For Damar Training, we built a broadcast PR campaign around a simple point: young people want apprenticeships, but the entry-level places are not there, with Level 2 apprenticeships down 60% since 2017. We put Damar Training's chief executive on air across a radio day of interviews, calling for funding and focus to go back to young people starting work. The campaign secured 7 items of radio coverage reaching 1.9 million listeners, led by BBC Radio Solent.
Damar Training wanted to be the go-to broadcast voice on apprenticeships and push employers to create more entry-level vacancies for young people.

About Results Day
Results Day is when students in England, Wales and Northern Ireland get their exam results. In 2027, A level results are published on Thursday 12 August and GCSE results on Thursday 19 August. Colleges, universities and training providers use the week to talk about the options open to young people. It gives producers a reason to cover the subject, and brands with a credible spokesperson a way onto radio and TV.
