Case study · Christmas

CraftCourses

Finding a present for the person who has everything is a familiar Christmas headache, and more people are solving it by giving experiences. We built CraftCourses' broadcast PR campaign around the idea that craft workshops such as pottery, knitting and cookery classes create lasting memories while supporting small independent makers across the UK. The founder of CraftCourses went on air as a gifting expert, and we paired the interviews with on-air competitions. The campaign secured 21 items of radio and TV coverage, made up of 12 interviews and 9 on-air competitions, reaching 3.5 million, including GB News, GB News Radio, BBC Radio Nottingham and BBC Radio Derby.

About Christmas

Christmas Day falls on 25 December and marks the Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus. It is a bank holiday across the UK and the peak of the year for retail, food and family stories. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
