Case study · For a PR agency

AbbVie

Migraine affects around 600,000 people in Scotland, and over 35,000 were admitted to hospital with it in 2020. Working with AbbVie's PR agency, we took news of a new treatment option to broadcasters: the Scottish Medicines Consortium had accepted AbbVie's migraine treatment AQUIPTA (atogepant) for restricted use on NHS Scotland, the first body to accept it on the NHS. The chief executive of the Migraine Trust went on air in radio and TV interviews, explaining what timely access to a new treatment could mean for eligible people living with migraine. The campaign secured 5 items of radio and TV coverage reaching 2.5 million people, including That's TV Scotland and Sky News Radio.
