Case study · Sleep Awareness Week

Sealy Posturepedic

A good night's sleep is rarer than it should be: new research found 73% of Brits rate their sleep average or worse, with 3.73 million calling it very poor. Fewer than half know how old their mattress is, and only 19% believe a better mattress means better sleep. For Sleep Awareness Week, we built Sealy Posturepedic's broadcast PR campaign around those findings, putting a Sealy mattress expert and an independent sleep expert on air across a radio day of interviews plus TV to explain why correct support matters as much as comfort. The campaign secured 14 items of radio and TV coverage reaching 4.5 million people, including GB News, London Live, GB News Radio and BBC Radio Leicester.

About Sleep Awareness Week

Sleep Awareness Week is run by the National Sleep Foundation in the United States and is picked up by UK sleep experts and brands. It promotes sleep as essential to health and wellbeing, and usually takes place in March, around the time the clocks change in the US. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
