The story

eXciteOSA, Christmas 2021

The aim
eXciteOSA wanted to encourage snorers and people with sleep apnoea to seek help and treat the root cause rather than just the symptoms.
The message
Snoring and sleep apnoea are more than an annoyance, they are driving couples apart. Targeting a key root cause, a lack of tongue muscle endurance during sleep, can mean better sleep, better health and better relationships.
The angle
The Gift of Sleep Survey found 81% of people say they or their partner snore at least once a week, and 28% of couples sleep in separate rooms because of it, yet only 26% have sought professional help for snoring or sleep apnoea.
On air
A consultant ear, nose and throat surgeon with more than 25 years' NHS experience
The result
22 items of coverage reaching 3.8 million, including Sky News Radio, Radio News Hub, GB News, BBC Radio Essex.

About Christmas

Christmas Day falls on 25 December and marks the Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus. It is a bank holiday across the UK and the peak of the year for retail, food and family stories. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
