In the UK one in five children and one in twelve adults have eczema, and there is evidence that diet plays a role, yet food intolerance is rarely tested. For National Eczema Week, we helped YorkTest raise awareness of its food intolerance testing, with a story about how much eczema can affect quality of life and how reactions to foods vary from person to person. We put YorkTest's scientific director on air across a day of radio and TV interviews, pointing listeners to the YorkTest website for more information. The broadcast PR campaign secured 16 items of radio and TV coverage reaching 2.0 million people, including London Live.

National Eczema Week is an annual week in September that raises awareness of eczema and the needs of people living with it. It is run by the UK charity Eczema UK, formerly the National Eczema Society. In 2026 it ran from 12 to 19 September. It gives producers a reason to cover the subject, and brands with a credible spokesperson a way onto radio and TV.
