Case study · World Obesity Day

YAZIO

Most Brits worry about their weight, but knowing what to do about it is harder. New YAZIO research for World Obesity Day found 66% of Brits worry about carrying extra weight, yet 65% find it hard to know how many calories they need and 58% struggle to cut back. We built the broadcast PR campaign around understanding nutrition as the key to sustained weight loss, and put an accredited dietitian and nutrition consultant to YAZIO on air across a radio day of interviews, plus TV. The campaign secured 20 items of radio and TV coverage reaching 6.8 million, including GB News, TalkTV, talkRADIO and GB News Radio.

About World Obesity Day

World Obesity Day is led by the World Obesity Federation and has been held on 4 March since 2020. It calls for joined-up action on obesity, looks at its root causes and aims to tackle weight stigma. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
