Case study · Halloween

Watch

Every part of the UK has its own monster story, and Halloween is the perfect time to tell them. To mark the second series of Grimm on Watch, we pitched a Monster Map of the UK revealing the mysterious creatures said to haunt every local area, and built a broadcast PR campaign of fun radio interviews around it. An author and presenter who writes about the unknown took listeners through their local legends across a radio day of interviews. The campaign secured 27 items of radio coverage reaching 4.4 million listeners, including BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio Kent and BBC Radio Essex.

About Halloween

Halloween is held on 31 October, the evening before All Saints' Day. It is linked to the old Celtic festival of Samhain and to the Christian All Hallows' Eve. In the UK it is marked with costumes, pumpkins, parties and trick or treating. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
