Case study

University of Derby

Very few of us end up where we expected: new research found 92% of people are not in the job they expected, and 93% felt they did not receive good careers advice when younger. Only 12% feel fulfilled at work, and over six in ten think it is too late to improve their qualifications. We built a broadcast PR campaign for University of Derby around those findings, putting the university's registrar and secretary on air for radio interviews, alongside on-air competitions. It secured 22 items of radio coverage, 12 interviews and 10 on-air competitions, reaching 3.3 million, including BBC Radio Derby, BBC Radio Gloucestershire and BBC Radio Oxford.
