Thrive

Two in three adults said their mental health worsened in the first lockdown, and presenteeism linked to mental health is estimated to cost the UK economy £15.1 billion a year. For Mental Health Awareness Week, we built a broadcast PR campaign around the launch of Thrive's 'I Get Help' campaign, which encourages open conversations about mental health at work and at home. We put Thrive's CEO and co-founder on air across a radio day of interviews, plus TV. The campaign secured 4 items of radio and TV coverage reaching 1.2 million, including GB News, BBC Radio Newcastle and BBC Radio WM.

About Mental Health Awareness Week

Mental Health Awareness Week has been run by the Mental Health Foundation since 2001. It takes place in May, usually in the second full week, and each year focuses on a theme to promote good mental health and challenge stigma. Stations plan their coverage of it in advance, which makes it a strong hook for a broadcast PR campaign.
