January can be a hard month, and a new report timed for Blue Monday found 91% of Brits are concerned about their wellbeing and a quarter (25%) feel depressed in January. With 31% living with insomnia, and lack of sleep named as one of the worst catalysts for poor mental health, we built Temple Spa's broadcast PR campaign around good rest. We put Temple Spa's founder and managing director on air across a radio day of interviews, explaining why taking care of yourself matters for women and men alike, and how products described as a good night's sleep in a jar can help. The campaign secured 17 items of radio coverage reaching 3.7 million listeners, including Sky News Radio and Radio News Hub.
Temple Spa wanted to position Temple Spa as a leading UK brand for unisex products that help with rest, relaxation and wellbeing.

About Blue Monday
Blue Monday is the name given to the third Monday in January, promoted as the most depressing day of the year. It began in 2005 as a press release for the travel company Sky Travel and has no scientific basis, but charities now use it to start conversations about mental health. Stations plan their coverage of it in advance, which makes it a strong hook for a broadcast PR campaign.
