Rosacea affects an estimated 1 in 20 people in the UK, yet only 43% of Brits know its symptoms. For Rosacea Awareness Month, we turned new Skin Shop research into a story stations wanted to cover: 70% of people have experienced facial redness, and 87% would be less likely to go out in public with symptoms such as blisters or swelling. Skin Shop's co-founder, a skincare expert, went on air across a radio day of interviews, joined on some by a woman living with rosacea, to talk about gentle care for redness and sensitive skin, including the Kalme range. The campaign secured 13 items of radio coverage reaching 3.9 million, including BBC Radio Scotland and Hits Radio South Wales.
Skin Shop wanted to raise awareness of its Kalme range of natural, specialist skincare for rosacea, redness and sensitive skin.

About Rosacea Awareness Month
Rosacea Awareness Month was set up more than 30 years ago by the National Rosacea Society, a US charity, and is now also marked by UK skin clinics. It aims to raise awareness and reduce stigma around rosacea, a long-term skin condition that affects an estimated 415 million people worldwide. It gives producers a reason to cover the subject, and brands with a credible spokesperson a way onto radio and TV.
