During Acne Awareness Month, dermatologists warned that Brits, and particularly children, were using potent influencer-promoted skincare products that can cause acne, burns and rashes. With acne affecting 95% of Brits aged 11 to 30, we built Skin+Me's broadcast PR campaign around simple routines and professional guidance. A leading dermatologist and Skin+Me's Head of Medical went on air across a radio day of interviews, plus TV, explaining what acne is, how it develops, what contributes to it, from hormones to diet and lifestyle, and the treatments available. The campaign secured 11 items of radio and TV coverage reaching 3.9 million, including GB News, talkRADIO, GB News Radio and Clyde 1 FM.
Skin+Me wanted to be positioned as industry experts and thought leaders.

About Acne Awareness Month
Acne Awareness Month is marked in the UK every June by dermatologists, clinics and skincare brands. It highlights how common acne is, the effect it can have on confidence and mental health, and the treatments available. It gives producers a reason to cover the subject, and brands with a credible spokesperson a way onto radio and TV.
