Case study · Menopause Awareness Month

Shhh... Menopause

Over 13 million UK women are living with perimenopause or menopause symptoms, yet some of those symptoms are still taboo. Vaginal dryness affects more than a third of menopausal women, but an estimated 90% never seek treatment, and up to 63% of women report difficulty sleeping. For Menopause Awareness Month, we built a broadcast PR campaign for Shhh... Menopause to break that silence, putting the founder of Shhh... Menopause Wellness on air across a radio day of interviews, plus TV, to tell women they are not alone and should find a treatment that works for them. The campaign secured 10 items of radio and TV coverage reaching 9.7 million, including Sky News TV, London Live and BBC Radio 5 Live.

About Menopause Awareness Month

October is Menopause Awareness Month, anchored by World Menopause Day on 18 October, which is led by the International Menopause Society. It raises awareness of the menopause and of the support available for health and wellbeing. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
