Case study

PhotoBox

Can the traditional photo album survive the digital age? New figures showed 82% of Brits store family pictures on their PCs and 71% in online albums, yet one in four photographers still print photos for an album. For PhotoBox, we used the launch of the Social Fab app, which turns social media photos, including a Facebook timeline, into personalised products and gifts, to put that question on air in a broadcast PR campaign. A photographer and former newspaper picture editor took part in radio interviews, with on-air competitions alongside. The campaign secured 34 items of radio coverage, 10 interviews and 24 on-air competitions, reaching 5.6 million listeners, including BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Radio Norfolk and BBC Radio Northampton.
