Case study · National Stop Snoring Week

Mute

An estimated 15 million people in the UK snore, and many laugh off the health risks. For National Stop Snoring Week, we helped Mute spread its mission to help the UK breathe more and snore less, explaining that snoring is a sign of not breathing properly in sleep, with 45% struggling to breathe at night. A snoring health expert and a guest with a record for loud snoring went on air, and we combined their radio interviews with on-air competitions. The broadcast PR campaign secured 28 items of radio coverage, 20 interviews and 8 on-air competitions, reaching 4.4 million people, including Radio News Hub, BBC Radio Sussex, Surrey and BBC Radio Leeds.

About National Stop Snoring Week

National Stop Snoring Week is an annual UK week that raises awareness of snoring and sleep apnoea and the health problems linked to them. It is run by the British Snoring and Sleep Apnoea Association, which has worked on the issue since 1991. The 2026 week ran from 27 April to 3 May. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
