Case study · Freshers' Week

Loot

Freshers' Week is when new students arrive and settle into university life, and for many that means finding somewhere to rent. For Loot, we built a broadcast PR campaign aimed at renters, especially students, positioning the brand as the authoritative voice on property rentals. Loot is one of the leaders in property in print in London, and its rentals site lists estate agents, private landlords and student lets. We put their spokesperson on air across a radio day of interviews, securing 19 items of radio coverage reaching 3.1 million people.

About Freshers' Week

Freshers' Week is the orientation week at UK universities when new students arrive, join clubs and societies, and settle into their accommodation. There is no central organiser; each university and students' union sets its own dates, mostly in late September or early October. Stations plan their coverage of it in advance, which makes it a strong hook for a broadcast PR campaign.
