A quarter (25%) of parents would consider stopping their child socialising if they caught head lice, and one in four adults admit catching them as an adult. Ahead of National Bug Busting Day, we built Linicin's broadcast PR campaign around those new research findings to reach parents where the worry starts. We put a media medic and family GP on air across a radio day of interviews, explaining how the Linicin range, from a prevent spray to a 10 minute shampoo, is a one-stop shop for preventing and treating head lice. The campaign secured 25 items of radio coverage reaching 3.5 million, including Sky News Radio.

About National Bug Busting Day
National Bug Busting Day is promoted by the charity Community Hygiene Concern, which has championed the non-chemical Bug Busting method for head lice since 1988. It is marked on three dates each year and encourages families to check hair regularly with a fine-toothed comb and treat lice early. Stations plan their coverage of it in advance, which makes it a strong hook for a broadcast PR campaign.
