Nearly half (48%) of Brits are unhappy with their teeth, and 31% say it has made them less confident in public. For World Smile Day, we helped Franksmile turn that research into a story about getting a brilliant smile conveniently and affordably, with 80% nervous about the dentist and private orthodontics costing an average of 2,500 pounds. A smile expert from Franksmile went on air across a radio day of interviews, explaining how the brand brings straight teeth to your doorstep at a fraction of the usual cost. The broadcast PR campaign secured 15 items of radio coverage reaching 2.1 million listeners, including Radio News Hub.

About World Smile Day
World Smile Day is held on the first Friday in October to encourage acts of kindness and smiling. It was first held in 1999 to honour the creator of the smiley face, and it is overseen by the World Smile Foundation. Stations plan their coverage of it in advance, which makes it a strong hook for a broadcast PR campaign.
Planning World Smile Day for 2026?
