Case study · International Artist Day

Chameleon Art Products

Colouring-in has been linked to mindfulness and mental tranquillity, and International Artist Day was a chance for the nation to unleash its inner artist. For Chameleon Art Products, we built a broadcast PR campaign around the benefits of art and art education, and around pens that create many shades, tones and gradients from a single pen. We combined radio interviews with on-air competitions to put the brand in front of listeners. The campaign secured 30 items of radio coverage, 17 interviews and 13 on-air competitions, reaching 3.5 million people, including BBC Radio Shropshire and Free Radio 80s.

About International Artist Day

International Artist Day is held every year on 25 October to recognise living artists of all kinds. It was started in 2004 by a Canadian painter, and the date was chosen because it is Picasso's birthday. It is marked by galleries, art schools and individual artists around the world. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
