Case study · Father's Day

Burts Chips

Father's Day is about family, but Burts Chips wanted men to make room for some me time too. We built the brand's broadcast PR campaign around a UK-wide survey into attitudes to present buying, gift sharing and fatherhood, with gift ideas for the day and a message about men taking their own time as well as family time. Their spokesperson went on air across a radio day of interviews, talking about the chips, hand-cooked in small batches with natural seasonings, as a treat to enjoy yourself or share with friends. The campaign secured 75 items of radio coverage reaching 2.4 million listeners, including Downtown Radio.

About Father's Day

Father's Day in the UK falls on the third Sunday in June, which in 2027 is 20 June. It is one of the busiest gifting moments of the year, and radio and TV run features on dads, parenting and family life in the weeks before it. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
