Computing skills open doors to careers in every sector, yet only one in five GCSE Computer Science entries in England come from girls. With National Coding Week focused on AI and 93% of UK businesses reporting an IT skills gap, we built STEM Learning's broadcast PR campaign around getting more young people, especially girls and those from lower-income homes, into computing. STEM Learning's chief executive and its education strategy lead went on air across a radio day of interviews, explaining how teachers can help students see a tech career as within their reach. The campaign secured 9 items of radio coverage with an audience of 2.6 million, including Sky News Radio and Greatest Hits Radio York & North Yorkshire.

About National Coding Week
National Coding Week was founded in the UK in 2014 by a former headteacher and a tech entrepreneur. It is held each September and aims to help people of all ages build digital skills and confidence with coding. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
