Case study · National Funeral Planning Awareness Week
Golden Charter
Most of us have never told our loved ones what we want for our own funeral. Working with Golden Charter's PR agency, we turned new research into a story for National Funeral Planning Awareness Week: 80% of people say their loved ones do not know their final wishes, only 11% have discussed them in detail and 54% worry their family will not be able to afford their funeral. We put Golden Charter's chief executive on air across a radio day of interviews, encouraging listeners to have the most important conversation they have never had. The broadcast PR campaign secured 21 items of radio coverage reaching 5.0 million people, including BBC Radio Essex and Greatest Hits Radio Lancashire.

About National Funeral Planning Awareness Week
National Funeral Planning Awareness Week was created by Golden Charter, a UK funeral plan provider, so it is a company's own awareness week. It encourages people to think about their funeral wishes and talk them through with family, so loved ones are not left guessing at a hard time. It gives producers a reason to cover the subject, and brands with a credible spokesperson a way onto radio and TV.
