The story

Devon Duvets, Clocks Go Back 2021

The aim
Devon Duvets wanted to educate audiences on the sleep benefits of wool and be seen as leaders in natural, sustainable, British wool bedding.
The message
Your duvet could be the cause of a bad night's sleep. Devon Duvets' bedding is handcrafted in Devon from 100% traceable British wool, which is natural, sustainable and helps with insomnia, allergies and menopausal hot flushes.
The angle
As the clocks went back, giving an extra hour in bed, the campaign highlighted that 40% of the UK suffer from sleep issues and argued many should look at their duvet, with wool bedding making a comeback for its breathable, temperature regulating and hypoallergenic properties.

About Clocks Go Back

British Summer Time ends at 2am on the last Sunday of October, when the clocks go back one hour to Greenwich Mean Time. It brings darker evenings and an extra hour in bed, and is a regular hook for stories about sleep, road safety and wellbeing. It gives producers a reason to cover the subject, and brands with a credible spokesperson a way onto radio and TV.
