Case study · Local Business Week

Thomson Local

One in four small businesses has no website, and only a third of those with one sell through it. Local Business Week began with a warning that high streets could miss out on jobs and growth because small firms cannot market themselves, and we put Thomson Local at the centre of the answer. A marketing expert from Thomson Local and a national policy chairman of the Federation of Small Businesses went on air for radio interviews, showing small businesses how to reach customers across today's many channels and win more leads, alongside a run of on-air competitions. The broadcast PR campaign secured 69 items of radio coverage, 59 interviews and 10 on-air competitions, reaching 4.4 million, including Panjab Radio.
