Case study · World Environment Day

Sudocrem

Pre-loved is having a moment in Britain: a new survey found 89% of Brits like buying second-hand and 71% see it as a great way to save money. Working with Sudocrem's PR agency, we used those findings to launch the Great British Pre-Loved Awards on World Environment Day, with a broadcast PR campaign encouraging people to buy pre-loved and upcycle where they can. We put an upcycling expert and former Great British Sewing Bee finalist on air across a radio day of interviews, showing listeners how to save money while helping the planet. The campaign secured 14 items of radio coverage reaching 2.7 million, including Radio News Hub, BBC Radio Solent and BBC Radio Leeds.

About World Environment Day

World Environment Day is the UN's main day for environmental awareness and action, led by the UN Environment Programme. It was set up by the UN General Assembly in 1972 and has been held every year since 1973. Serbia will host the 2027 event. For brands and charities with something useful to say, it gives radio and TV producers a timely reason to book an interview.
